A popular pub has reopened its doors to the public after a six-figure refurbishment and four new job opportunities.
The George IV, in Rectory Place, Woolwich, is now fitted with three new professional-standard dartboards and a revamped area offering a dedicated space for games of pool, free every Tuesday.
Three new Sky Q boxes mean the pub can now screen Sky Sports, TNT Sports and Prime Video.
Sarah Linskey, operator of the George IV, said: “We are beyond thrilled to reopen our doors and welcome both new and returning guests.
“The renovations have allowed us to create a space that is more inviting and enjoyable for everyone. We can’t wait to welcome the community back to experience all the new features.”
The pub hosts weekly events featuring Race Day and Open the Box on Mondays, Quiz Night on Tuesdays and Chase the Joker on Wednesdays. Fridays feature entertainment with Bingo, Games Night, Killer Pool and Killer Darts.
There is a Bonus Ball on Saturdays with live music at night, while Sundays feature a traditional Meat Raffle where a lucky winner can win premium meat from the local butchers.
