AFC Wimbledon land ex-Portsmouth winger on deal until the end of the season

AFC Wimbledon have completed the signing of Ronan Curtis on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

Our paper reported in December that the 27-year-old Londoner had been training with the Dons in a bid to return to full fitness from a serious ACL injury.

Curtis, who has been capped multiple times by the Republic of Ireland at the international level, scored 57 goals and recorded 42 assists in 226 appearances for Portsmouth.

Pompey offered Curtis a new deal over the summer after he suffered an ACL injury in February against Bolton, but he turned it down.

The attacker has also turned out for Derry City during his career, scoring 24 goals and picking up five assists before moving to Fratton Park.

He becomes Wimbledon’s third signing of the January transfer window, joining John-Kymani Gordon and Joe Lewis.
