Charlton Athletic striker Miles Leaburn set to see specialist after picking up quad injury

Nathan Jones was unable to shed any more details on Miles Leaburn’s quad injury after Charlton’s 3-0 loss to Peterborough United today.

The striker was not part of the matchday squad for the League One fixture in Cambridgeshire.

Jones named Chuks Aneke and Gassan Ahadme as his back-up striker options against the Posh with Matty Godden partnered in attack by Tyreece Campbell.

“He picked up an injury in training on Tuesday – very innocuous – so we will see where it is,” said the Charlton boss.

“Any injury that people pick up, we have a scan and then we see a specialist to see how we move forward with those things.

“That is what is happening with Miles.”

Leaburn has scored 10 goals in 32 appearances for Charlton this season.

He did not feature until October 1 this season after suffering a major hamstring injury in November 2023.
