Crystal Palace move to sign Stoke City keeper Jack Butland
Crystal Palace are set to sign Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland – with Wayne Hennessey expected to be out for a number of months due to injury.
The Championship side have been ready to move on the 27-year-old stopper, who has been capped nine times by England.
And the Eagles are suddenly in the market for cover for Vicente Guaita with Hennessey sidelined for an extended period of time.
Palace need to complete a deal – which will be permanent – before tomorrow’s 5pm deadline.
Butland has not featured for Stoke this season. His last appearance was in a 5-0 defeat at Leeds United in July as a neck injury ended his 2019-20 campaign.
