Ellie Scotney set for February 12 bout + Denzel Bentley pushed forward for British title shot
Catford featherweight Ellie Scotney is set to box on a Matchroom Boxing show at Alexandra Palace on February 12.
The 24-year-old, who recently switched trainers from Adam Booth to Shane McGuigan, will be part of the support act before John Ryder faces former IBF world super-middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs.
Scotney (3-0) was last in action outpointing Eva Cantos at Greenwich’s 02 Arena in October.
Battersea’s Denzel Bentley has been nominated by the British Boxing Board of Control to face Linus Udofia for the vacant domestic middleweight title.
Purse bids have to be submitted by February 9 with the contest to take place before the end of June.
