Former Charlton duo make final England Euro 2024 squad
Former Charlton Athletic academy graduates Ezri Konsa and Joe Gomez have been named in Gareth Southgate’s 26-man England squad for Euro 2024.
Konsa joined the Addicks at the age of 11. Gomez joined Sparrows Lane at 10.
Centre-back Konsa made 86 first-team appearances for the Addicks before moving to Brentford in the summer of 2018.
He joined Aston Villa in July 2019 in a deal worth a reported £12million.
Catford-born Gomez joined Liverpool in 2015 after making just 24 senior appearances for the Addicks. He has gone on to featured over 200 times for the Reds.
