Former Crystal Palace defender breaks news of Dulwich Hamlet exit

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Michael Chambers has announced he is leaving Dulwich Hamlet.

The defender was a top prospect at Champion Hill and it earned him a move to Crystal Palace in 2012.

Chambers, 24, rejoined Hamlet four years later.

“After three seasons and a promotion later, it’s time for me to move on to another chapter,” posted the player on Twitter.

“I firstly want to thank the management – Gavin [Rose], Junior Kadi, Kevin James, Junior James, Tamba, Bukola and Toni for giving me a platform to grow, not just as a footballer but as a person.

“Secondly I want to thank the fans for their unconditional support, not just on the pitch but also off it. The support in helping the club return home to Champion Hill was incredible.”
