Millwall keen on Wigan Athletic winger Jamal Lowe

Millwall are interested in a deal for Jamal Lowe – and have agreed a fee for the Wigan winger.

Reports have claimed that Swansea City are favourites to sign the 26-year-old.

But the Lions and Preston North End are also keen on Lowe.

Millwall had the player on their shortlist of targets last summer but the attacker, then on Portsmouth’s books, made the switch to the Latics.

The South London club have been given permission to discuss personal terms with Lowe, who scored six goals in 46 appearances last season.

But there have been claims in the Wales press that Swansea City, who reached the Championship play-off semi-finals last season, will land the player.

Lowe is one of a number of attacking players identified by Millwall manager Gary Rowett.

The Lions are still keen on Derby’s Mason Bennett.
