Run means nothing yet, says Bowyer

Four wins on the bounce and five clean sheets will mean nothing if Charlton cannot maintain their momentum when they play at Portsmouth tomorrow, says boss Lee Bowyer.

The Addicks held their nerve to record a 2-0 victory over Oxford on Tuesday which put them up to seventh in the League One table.

But Bowyer warned: “We have put ourselves in a good position but I remind them we need to look at the big picture.

“We have been defending well but can we go again and get the three points?

“Hopefully we will carry on with this defensive record, because I always believe we will score goals.”
