Wes Harding’s injury return timeline is mapped out by Millwall head coach

Millwall defender Wes Harding will miss the New Year’s Day match at Bristol City.

The summer signing, who joined the Lions on a free transfer after rejecting new terms at Rotherham United, sat out tonight’s 1-0 Championship win over Norwich City.

Club captain Shaun Hutchinson returned to the backline in place of Harding.

“Wes felt his hamstring at half-time against QPR, carried on and we got a scan the day after – it’s just a slight issue with his hamstring which will see him out for Bristol City,” said Millwall head coach Joe Edwards.

“The Leicester cup game will be touch and go but it’s probably not too much further than the Leicester game.”

Harding, 27, has scored three goals in 18 league appearances for the Lions.

He had played the full 90 minutes in their last 15 Championship matches before being unavailable to take on Norwich.
