Covid-19 cases in Croydon re staying relatively low

Coronavirus cases in Croydon are relatively low.

As of Tuesday there have been 1,954 confirmed Covid-19 cases in the borough, a rate of 505 per 100,000 people.

One reason for the slight increase in cases may be that a mobile testing unit was stationed at Fairfield Halls on Saturday, August 22.

A spokesman for Croydon Health Services NHS Trust said: “We are well prepared to respond to any future outbreaks in the borough.” The last death was recorded on June 20.
