Audi Q7 linked to series of watch robberies across South London
The Metropolitan Police are appealing for information on a series of high-value watch robberies across South London.
During these offences the victim was usually injured by being struck with an object, before their watch was stolen.
Detectives believe that the offences are being committed by two to three people, and that they are using a silver coloured Audi Q2 as their mode of transport.
There are 12 incidents the police are looking in to that took place between May and July this year, one including a 64-year-old man who was robbed on June 24 at around 5pm in Gibson Hill, Streatham.
A list of all the robberies can be found here.
Detective inspector Vicky Allen said: “We understand the impact of robbery on the victim and know that the effects can run far deeper than a loss of property or pride.
“Robbery is a violent crime and tackling violence in all its forms is a priority for us.
“We are determined to identify and apprehend these criminals – if you have any information please do the right thing and get in touch.”
Anyone with information that could assist police is asked to call 101 or tweet @MetCC, quoting CAD6723/02AUG.
