Fifth person charged after murder of reality star’s brother
Detectives investigating the murder of Flamur Beqiri, who was fatally shot in Battersea on Christmas Eve, have charged a fifth man in connection with the case.
Mr Beqiri, 36, who was the brother of reality TV star Misse Beqiri, was shot multiple times in front of his family on the evening of December 24 2019.
The incident occurred on Battersea Church Road in Wandsworth, SW11.
22-year-old Bawer Diyaz Karaer, a Swedish national, was extradited from Sweden to the UK and was charged with murder yesterday.
He will will appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today.
Four other people have previously been charged in connection with this investigation.
Anis Fouad Hemissi, 23, another Swedish national, was previously charged with Flamur’s murder and extradited back to the UK from Denmark in June.
Clifford Rollox, 30, of Percival Street, Islington, was charged on October 29, 2020, with perverting the course of public justice.
Tobias Fredrik Andersson, 31, and Estevan Alexis Pino-Munizaga, 34, both Swedish nationals, were also charged with murder.
Andersson was extradited from Sweden to the UK on Wednesday, November 4, and Pino-Munizaga was extradited on November 10.
All four are due to appear at the Old Bailey on March 19 2021.
Misse Beqiri, 34, found fame when she joined the third series of the reality show the Real Housewives of Cheshire.
The reality star paid tribute to her brother last month on the anniversary of his death.
In a post on Instagram, she wrote: “I never got a chance to say I love you, never got a chance to say I’ll miss you.
“I have you in my heart no matter how far you are, to the heavens I wish I could fly.
“I will remember everyday with you. You left us a year ago and nothing has felt the same.
“I know you feel my tears, and you don’t want us to cry, yet my heart is broken because I can’t understand why.
“Til we meet again my brother, I never forget you and your smile. I know you are with me and all I do is for you, you told me to never give up.
“I am you. Soulmates for life.”
