They made the grade at Bishop Justus

Another school has doffed a cap in the direction of its students after they accumulated a higher proportion of A* grades in their A-levels than in the two previous years.

It means celebrations are in order at Bishop Justus CE School, located in Magpie Hall Lane, Bromley – and which part of The Aquinas Church of England Education Trust.

As with most sixth forms in South London, there were a couple of stand-out performers among generally excellent overall standards.

Steven achieving three As in maths, physics and geography and a B in French. He will be going on to University of Exeter. Szulamita who achieved two A*s in physics and maths and an A in further maths. She will be going on to King’s College London.

Neve obtained three As in business, geography and psychology. She will be going on to Loughborough University, Ezekiel achieved two As in chemistry and maths and a B in biology. He will be going on to University of Bath.

Lucy achieved a Distinction * in her business BTEC and two Bs in biology and maths. She will be going on to St George’s, University of London, while Abigail, who had a Distinction * in her business BTEC and two Bs in English literature and geography, will be going on to Goldsmiths, University of London

Head teacher Samantha Thompson said: We are so proud of the outcomes achieved by our students. These are testament to the hope they have had during their courses of study and the faith and wisdom they have demonstrated in their examination preparation.

We are confident that they will continue to be successful in their next phase of life, continuing with courageous attitudes.”
