Charlton loan hit Ben Amos signs deal with Millwall

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Millwall have confirmed the signing of Ben Amos on a season-long loan.

We exclusively revealed this morning that the Lions had tied up an agreement for the former Manchester United stopper, who becomes the Championship side’s second addition of the summer transfer window.

Amos will be a free agent at the end of the 2018-19 campaign and had no future at Bolton Wanderers. Last season he impressed during a season-long loan with Charlton Athletic.

Amos told the Millwall website: “I heard a couple of days ago that there was interest. From there, it’s over to the clubs and the agents to get things sorted – thankfully it’s been done and I’ve spent my first day out [in Portugal] today.

“It’s all about the level you play at. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Charlton last season and I want to get to enjoying my football again. Hopefully this season we can enjoy success again and have a really good year.”
