Exclusive: Jake Cooper set to sign new Millwall contract

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Jake Cooper is set to sign a new contract at Millwall.

The big centre-back has been one of their star performers since their promotion to the Championship.

And the 23-year-old was the subject of bids from Glasgow Rangers in the summer transfer window.

The Lions were always determined to hold on to one of their prize assets and the South London Press understands that Cooper has agreed terms on a deal extension.

Millwall changed their policy in the summer so that they do not announce the length of contracts – either for new signings or renegotiations.

But Cooper is following winger Jed Wallace, who also recently put pen to paper on improved terms.
